I get this message today.

"Unable to create media library, check your storage settings?

Wassup with that?  What can I do to rectify this problem?  I can connect to the HDD via Telnet, Webfrontend and filezilla but I can not transfer anything to it.

RavRob,

The only time I experienced this message was on Gen1, The hard drive I had plugged in was so full, it didn't have enough memory for the temp file used for the create media library feature,

you can turn off create media liabrary in the settings, all files and folders should still play correctly, with live I believe you will not have certain menu options, but you'll still be able to navagate and play everything, I personally always leave the create media library off,

Tx for the reply Kad

I have a 1 TB drive and only 435 gig of Movies on it.  So plenty of room for the Temp file.  I have seen other posts about Read only drive and so on but mine was a different error.  Anyway, I have now completed the migration to another temp drive, I have reformatted my drive to NTSF this time Vs FAT32 (bigger file capability) and the migration back to the newly formatted drive has 3 hours (give or take) left before completion.
