I bought a 3tb external hard drive transfered all my files to it but when I plug it to my wdtv media player, it's not seen by the player, I thought that the hard drive was defective so I exchanged it by another 3tb different brand (WD) but no luck, I tried a 2tb and that1 does work, but I have so many files there's only like 230gb of space left, I would really try to get it to work with the 3tb, please advised. I'm running 1.02.21.WDLXTV_LIVE-0.4.7.3

If you switch to 1.05.04 WDLXTV 0.5.1.1 it should work with the Live...not with the Live+
Windows 7 Ultimate with SP1
WDTV Live
1.02.21 WDLXTV 0.5.1.4 (Beta)
Linksys - WUSB600N USB Adapter
DLink - Dir-655 Router
Atheros - AR8131 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20)
XBMC - The Future of Television

Thanks for the tip, it worked but now I have a couple of other problems, the movie sheets are not showing up anymore and for some odd reason I lost sound on some movies, I notice that for the previous firmware the sound options were stereo and digital, this version has stereo, digital pass through and pass through via optical cable, My media player is connected via HDMI to my AV receiver. Also the video output resolution keeps resetting itself, I change it to HDMI 1080P 60Hz(which my TV supports) and it shows that it's saved as that, but when I exit the settings menu and then go back to check it, some how they get changed to a different setting for instance once it showed composite, and another HDMI(720p 60Hz).......Any advise? Thank you in advance.

OK the next thing is that 1.02.21 and 1.05.04 don't handle the sheets the same way.  1.02.21 uses WDTVExt while 1.05.04 uses linksheets to present the sheets.

To make it work you will need to disable WDTVExt in the WEC and enable Linksheets, also in the WEC.  Also read the Wiki
http://wiki.wdlxtv.com/Main_Page
Halfway down the page under configuration they talk about linksheet and other stuff pertinent to your moviesheet problem.

Hope you get it to work.

Why downlgrade?

If you do want to downgrade you need to edit  the *.ver file and change the version inside to something greater than what is on your machine right now.  So if you now have 1.05.04 WDLXTV 0.4.7.3 just change the version number to say 1.07.04****

This will fool the WDTV into thinking it is a new version and it will perform the update (downgrade in this case).
